About Casey Addason — Santa Fe Wedding Photographer
wedding & event · photo | video
Weddings — anticipate. Events — adapt. That is the job in two lines. I have spent more than a decade learning how to read a room, find the right light, and be in position before the moment happens. My background is documentary and editorial. I do not direct or pose. I watch, I wait, and I shoot when something real is unfolding.
I photograph and film weddings, elopements, corporate events, portraits, and headshots. Photo and video, every project. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, also serving Albuquerque and destinations across the Southwest.

I grew up drawn to photojournalism and documentary film. That is still how I work. No shot lists, no forced smiles, no standing in front of a hedge for forty-five minutes. I move through the day quietly, watching the edges of the room where the real moments live. A father seeing his daughter in her dress. A best man losing it mid-toast. Two people looking at each other like nobody else exists. Those are the photographs and films that matter twenty years from now.
Every booking includes both photo and video. I bring a cinematic, editorial eye to the moving footage and a documentary instinct to the stills. Clients get a cohesive story across both mediums, delivered by one person who was actually there for every moment.
New Mexico light is something else. Long golden hours, high desert contrast, skies that do half the work. I have photographed at more than 50 venues across the state — mornings at Ghost Ranch, evenings at Bishop's Lodge, ceremonies at La Fonda on the Plaza, elopements in the Jemez Mountains, receptions at Four Seasons Rancho Encantado. That kind of local knowledge means I already know the sight lines, the timing, and the backup plans before I walk through the door.
Corporate and event work makes up a significant part of what I do. Conferences, galas, product launches, nonprofit fundraisers, company retreats. These clients come back year after year because they need a photographer who can adapt fast, deliver polished results on a tight timeline, and make their leadership team look sharp without pulling them away from the event. I treat corporate work with the same editorial discipline I bring to weddings.
My work has been featured in Rocky Mountain Bride, The Knot, and WeddingWire. I hold a 5.0 rating on every review platform I am listed on. Those reviews come from real clients — couples who trusted me with their wedding day, executives who brought me back for their second and third annual event, families who keep booking portrait sessions year after year. That track record is something I take seriously.
I am LGBTQ+ friendly and have been since day one. Love is love. Every couple, every family, every celebration gets the same care and the same craft.
Based in Santa Fe, I also work regularly in Albuquerque, Taos, and throughout New Mexico. Destination work takes me to Texas — Austin, Dallas, Houston, Hill Country — and beyond. If you are planning something worth remembering, I would like to be the one who makes sure you do.
