What a Session Looks Like

Santa Fe's light is different from anywhere else in the country. The high desert altitude, the warm tones off the adobe, the way afternoon shade wraps around a face — it all works in your favor. I know which walls face north, which courtyards hold shade at noon, and which spots give the best light at any hour.

I work with whatever looks best for you — natural light outdoors using Santa Fe's adobe walls, covered portals, and open shade, or portable flash setups for more controlled, polished results. No fluorescent overhead light that flattens everything out. Whether we're shooting on location or in a conference room, I bring the right tools to make the light work for your face, not against it.

How I Light Headshots

Before the session, I send wardrobe guidance — what colors work, what to avoid, how to think about layers and accessories. On the day, I handle everything: finding the light, directing your posture, keeping the energy relaxed so your expression looks natural instead of forced.

Individual sessions run about 45 minutes. For teams, I allow 10-15 minutes per person and move through the group efficiently so nobody is waiting around. You get 15-20 final retouched images, delivered through an online gallery with full commercial usage rights.

On-Site Corporate Headshots

I come to your office, your event, or your retreat. No need to send your team to a studio. I find the best light at your location — usually a window, a courtyard, or a shaded wall outside — and set up a simple, efficient workflow that moves people through in 10-15 minutes each.
